NAB is an organization strives to work for Blind persons to make them understand. accept their shortcoming and help them become self sufficient. Blindness or no sight is not a disease, but no vision and lack of compassion surely is.
“To be blind is not miserable; not to be able to bear blindness…that is miserable.” suits perfect for our society today. Let us prove it wrong by abolishing this social misery and making our society inhabitable for these differently abled angels of God. In this universe, human life is an ultimate creation of the God. But this wonderful creation has also been adorned with diversity. Some human beings are blessed with equal power for all the sensory organs, whereas some have to manage with certain organs having lesser sense. The God has been kind enough to compensate these people by rendering more strength for some other sense, so that justice is accomplished. In this world every creation is complete meaningful and self sustaining. Here no one is incapable or handicapped. We call them differently abled people. But what is necessary is to make them aware of the strengths residing them. In order to cater to this need, we have selected this field of “Blind”. NAB is an organization which works for the Blind. While working in this field for rehabilitation of blind, It was noted that many were deprived from education, just because they were blind. Realizing this, the trustees of the organization Late Mr. A.D. Deshpande, Dr. Anil Kulkarni were motivated to start a Blind school in 2004. Form the inception of the school Mrs. Vinita Lele is looking after the school as a chairperson, initial 3 years were quite tough and challenging, as there was no external financial source. NAB had to spend from its own meager resources during that period. An appeal was made to different organizations as well as prominent personalities in the society for donations. Responding to the appeal Mr. Sanjay Ghodawat came forward and helped with part donations towards building fund. So it was decided to name the school as Late Sou. Sushilabai Danchand Ghodawat Residential Blind School.

Mobility training by walking with white stick.
Cultural Activities:
Rrecitation of Geeta, Ramraksha and other Sanskrit Shlokas, Reading of Dnyaneshwari in Brail.
Lectures of learned speakers on the life and ideals of great personalities.
■We celebrate many religious & social festivals viz. Dahi Handi, Kojagiri, Ganesh Festival, Independence day & Republic day.
Get together and trip to different places.
School Activity:
As per Government rules, we provide education from nursery to standard 4th in our residential blind school. For many students it is not possible to get education in normal schools due to various reasons like financial incapability, total dependence of students, non availability of special educational facilities. Considering this, the trustees have made arrangement of uniforms, school fees, transportation etc. and Lodging, Boarding in our school for high school students.
For secondary school education we are getting co-operation from Vidyamandir Prasahala, Miraj.
