National Association for the Blind (NAB), District Branch Sangli, was founded in 1988. Since its inception, NAB Sangli has been working in the areas of prevention of blindness, treatment of blindness and rehabilitation of persons with visual disabilities.
To evolve as a comprehensive eye care hospital providing quality medical services for all types of eye problems.
To provide quality eye care services to everyone, assuring charity with quality.
NAB Sangli has been providing comprehensive eye-care services and conducting cataract and other eye surgeries for several years. As part of its medical services, NAB Sangli partnered with Lions Comprehensive Eye Care Foundation and established an eye hospital named ‘Lions NAB Eye Hospital’ at Miraj in 1992.
NAB Sangli has extensive experience in providing eye care services, including cataract and other eye surgeries. To further extend these services, NAB Sangli established the NAB Eye Hospital at Plot No. 40, M.I.D.C., Miraj, District Sangli, Maharashtra.

As per Government rules, NAB provides education from Nursery to Standard 4 for children with visual disabilities through its residential blind school.
The school provides educational support and facilities including uniforms, school fees, transportation, lodging and boarding, helping students access quality education and build an independent future.
